About Me
My name is Charlene Stoffle and welcome to my website!
Currently, I am attending Wayne State University to upgrade my Advance Diploma in Interior Design from St Clair College to a Bachelors of Art and Art History with a Major in Design. Growing up, my passion has always been design as I was constantly rearranging my room and sketching floor plans. Traveling and camping with my family, I was intrigued by the design of recreational camping trailers. It fascinated me that everything was in a compact space and the materials were durable and lightweight. Interior Design has allowed me to apply this passion into a career. My passion for interior design is to create spaces that follow both form and function while also creating a comfortable third space atmosphere.
I have a demonstrated history of working in the design industry where I enhanced my time management skills, my problem solving skills and my ability to deal with the public. Working at a flooring store allowed me to see commercial projects develop from the drawing/ bidding stage to the build stage and thus, allowed me to learn more about the process of construction. From my schooling both at college and university, I learned and expanded my knowledge in many computer programs such as: AutoCad, Sketchup, Enscape, Microsoft Office and Revit. Integrating my education and work background I am able to read and create construction drawings, select appropriate finishes, and understand the construction process. I pride myself in being able to think about the big picture while focusing on the details at every phase of the design process.
