The Historic Sandwich Post Office is located at 3201 Sandwich Street, Windsor, Ontario and is a community landmark designed by David Ewart and built in 1907. He incorporated both Romanesque Revival and Classical Revival elements throughout the building. This design transforms the first floor into a modern multi-functional café. The name Envelope Café was inspired by the original purpose of the building as a post office. This inspiration is carried throughout the space including the cash wrap which mimics the look of mail slots. .
